Acceptable use policy

What we will not build, and how the things we do build may and may not be used. This policy forms part of our terms of service.

Who this applies to

Everyone using mfvtech.my, and every client using software, workflows or generated images that Maison Fae Ventures has built. If you engage us, you are responsible for your own staff and end users following it too.

Work we will not take on

We decline engagements involving:

  • anything unlawful under Malaysian law or the law where it will operate;
  • unlicensed financial services, lending, or investment schemes promising returns;
  • gambling or betting without the licence for the market it targets;
  • adult content, and any sexual content involving minors under any circumstances;
  • weapons, controlled substances, or counterfeit goods;
  • multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, and “get rich quick” offers;
  • deceptive subscription mechanics — hidden recurring charges, a cancellation route harder than the sign-up route, or a trial that converts without clear notice;
  • scraping or resale of personal data without the consent of the people it belongs to;
  • surveillance of individuals who have not consented to it;
  • impersonation of a real person or organisation, including synthetic voice or likeness without documented permission.

Rules for AI image generation

When we generate images for you, you agree:

  • you own or are licensed to use every source photograph, product and mark you give us, and you will tell us if you are not sure;
  • you will not ask for the likeness of a real person without their written permission, and never of a child;
  • you will not ask us to reproduce another company’s trade marks, packaging or product designs;
  • you will not present a generated image as a photograph of an event that happened, a person who said something, or a product feature that does not exist;
  • you will disclose that an image is AI-generated where the law or the advertising platform requires it.

Rules for AI workflows and reporting

  • Keep the human approval step. Do not remove or bypass the approval we build in front of actions that spend money, change a record of account or send something outside your organisation.
  • Do not use a system we built to make a final automated decision about a person’s employment, credit, insurance, housing, health or legal rights without a human reviewer who can overrule it.
  • Do not feed a workflow personal data you have no lawful basis to process, or data belonging to someone else’s customers without their instruction.
  • Treat reporting output as a decision aid. Verify a figure before you act on it externally.

Rules for the systems themselves

You must not, and must not let anyone else:

  • probe, scan or attempt to breach a system without our written permission;
  • attempt to access data belonging to another client or another user;
  • send unsolicited bulk email or messaging through anything we built;
  • knowingly introduce malware, or use a system to distribute it;
  • place an unreasonable load on shared infrastructure, or automate requests at a rate that degrades service for others;
  • remove or obscure licence notices in code we have delivered;
  • resell access to a service licensed to you alone, without our agreement.

Responsible security research is welcome. If you find a vulnerability, email support@mfvtech.my before disclosing it anywhere else, and give us reasonable time to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who reports in good faith and does not access or retain other people’s data.

Using this website

You may read, quote and link to this site. You may not use the enquiry form to send advertising, recruitment approaches or bulk messages, and you may not scrape the site at a rate that affects its availability.

Reporting a breach

Email support@mfvtech.my with what you saw and where. We acknowledge within one business day.

What we do about a breach

Our first step is almost always to tell you and ask you to fix it. Where the use is unlawful, is causing harm, or puts other clients at risk, we may suspend the affected service immediately and explain why. Serious or repeated breaches end the engagement under clause 12 of the terms of service, and fees already earned are not refunded. Where we are legally required to report something, we will.
